The Predacon leader began experimenting on willing and unwilling volunteers, scrounging materials for his experiments from various illicit sources. From this mole, however, Megatron learned of the disgraced ex-Autobot Leatherhide, who had conducted similar experiments on himself decades ago, and sent Terrorsaur to bring the Builder into the fold. Tigerhawk used his elemental powers, channeled through his four katana, to dispatch hordes of zombie Predacon troopers with tornadoes and earthquakes. He then gathered up all the Maximals who had been separated from the team and returned them to Optimus Primal. In the Beast Wars Metals comic, Tigatron was interpreted as a samurai; the katana being their weapon of choice. Hence the whole samurai motif for Tigerhawk. Unlike Transmetals, the Transmetals 2 did not have a third mode. Only the largest Transmetal 2 toys, Tigerhawk and Megatron, were designed to have more than two modes because they were planned mislabeled as the state-of-the-art Transmetal 2 as a marketing ploy. Megatron's vehicular mode was never featured in the TV show, and Tigerhawk's was abandoned entirely during production of the toy before being properly implemented.
