Woolworths have specially commissioned this exclusive 45 minute compilation of some of the most popular characters on children's video. In 1994, the Australian release had a new master with a different opening and Britt Allcroft endboards. The Australian ABC for Kids release received an updated master in 1993 with a different opening while the main programme itself omitted the Britt Allcroft logo and restored the Clearwater Features endboards. This version is more commonplace than the regular 1991 release, which is quite rare.

Join in and sing-along with Thomas & Friends in this beautifully animated video of wonderful songs. Also on board, as an extra special treat, is Sir Topham Hatt, a song which has never been featured on video before. In the UK dub and the Ukrainian voice-over, when the coal pours down on Thomas, he shouts "Help, I'm choking!" This line was in the original Railway Series story. However, in both the Ringo Starr and George Carlin US dubs, he instead shouts "Help!" twice. It was changed due to the "choking" concept being traumatic for young viewers. Despite this, all dubs have the line "'I'm not disgraceful!' choked Thomas," kept in the episode. At the beginning of the 1986 UK English and Irish release, as well as all Australian releases, it showed the intro then the episode (Coal). But in later UK and Irish releases, it skips right to the ending scene of the intro, skipping the episode title entirely before the intro music fades out and cuts to the nameboard sequence twice. While in New Zealand Releases the intro music never fades out and instead cuts to Edward's nameboard after the windmill scene, skipping Terence's nameboard along the way.
