About this deal

If you’re looking for a way to introduce your child to the Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG, Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG Speed Duel (Speed Duel) is the perfect place to start! While still challenging, Speed Duel is a specialized version of the Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG that is easy to learn and is based on the ruleset found in the wildly popular Yu-Gi-Oh! DUEL LINKS digital game. Find out more about Speed Duel here. Yu-Gi-Oh! Legacy of the Duelist uses the original Pendulum Zone layout, with separate zones for Pendulum Monsters, and gives players additional power! There are rules for a tournament, just like there are rules for the card game. This document provides a more in-depth explanation of the errors you need to avoid making while at a tournament; along with the penalties that can occur if any of these errors are made.

The Yu-Gi-Oh! franchise, which has aired in more than 90 countries, has shown itself to have a broad cross-cultural appeal. As one of the most successful franchises of all time Yu-Gi-Oh! has spawned 7 television series and a trio of movies and still ranks among the most popular animated programming in the world along with the collectible trading card game based on the series. The Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG can’t be played alone; your child will need opponents to play against. As your child interacts with other Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG Duelists, he or she will learn the importance of fair play, good sportsmanship, and competition etiquette. In addition, when your child engages in trades with other kids, he or she will gain experience conducting business-like transactions at a young age. Trading is a big part of Trading Card Games – after all, it’s in the name! Trading is a great way for Duelists to expand their collections and exchange cards that they already have or don’t need, for cards that they are looking for. Since the cards have different values, it can take a bit of practice and preparation to make the best trades. If your child is interested in trading, you can help him or her get the most out of the process. You will find that when your child trades to get the cards that he or she wants, he or she is engaged in an exciting and challenging social activity!

About Yu-Gi-Oh!

Set several years after the previous Yu-Gi-Oh! series, GX follows a new generation of Duelists at the prestigious Duel Academy—a highly competitive boarding school where pencils and books have been replaced by Duel Disks and Monster Cards! Still, it’s not just about making the grade for these up-and-coming students – it’s about becoming the next King of Games! There’s only one hero who can save them – the mysterious and powerful Playmaker! But little does the world know that in real life, the dashing and daring Playmaker is actually a quiet, easy-going high school student named Yusaku Fujiki. With new cards, new players and new adventures, you’d better start your engines and get set to Duel! The Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG is designed for kids ages 6+. If your child can do basic addition and subtraction calculations and read the text on their cards, they will be able to play the game. Yu-Gi-Oh! Legacy of the Duelist: Link Evolution uses the newest updates to the rules of Dueling which features the Extra Monster Zones on the field. Link Monsters can be Summoned to these zones or any zone a Link Monster points to. However, Synchro, Fusion, and Xyz Monsters can still be Summoned to the Main Monster Zones!

Yu-Gi-Oh! Championship Series (YCS) events are big events hosted by KONAMI, run in cities all around the world. They’re a lot like Yu-Gi-Oh! Extravaganza events, but in addition to holding lots of small tournaments called “Public Events” at each YCS, the main attraction is a gigantic, highly-competitive tournament that typically draws between 600 and 2,000 competitors. Each YCS spans an entire weekend. The main tournament starts on Saturday morning and continues on Sunday for the competitors who play well enough to advance to the second day of competition. The main YCS event is always intense, requiring victory-hungry participants to play non-stop for long periods of time. The stakes are also high, since top finishers receive popular electronics, extremely rare promotional cards, and other valuable prizes. Even though highly-competitive Duelists frequently travel around to compete in YCS events all over the world, each YCS also attracts many casual Duelists, some of whom are new to the Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG. Many of these casual Duelists participate in the main tournament only for as long as they wish, or take part in shorter Public Events throughout the weekend. Once you’ve found an event to attend, there are a few things you’ll need to do to help your child get ready. You’ll both enjoy the event much more if you know what to expect and are fully prepared. Reading over this section will give you the basic information you’ll need to get the most out of an event. Yu-Gi-Oh! Legacy of the Duelist: Link Evolution is now available on Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, PSN, and PC through Steam. Italy Latvia Lithuania Luxembourg Malta Netherlands Norway Poland Portugal Romania Serbia Slovakia Slovenia Spain Sweden Switzerland Turkey United Kingdom All the while, children exercise important problem-solving skills. They understand the starting point of each game and make it a goal to win. Throughout the course of a Duel, Duelists are constantly thinking about the different ways to achieve that goal by using their cards. When aspiring Duelist Yuma meets Astral, a mysterious visitor from another universe, it seems like destiny. Yuma needs Astral to teach him how to Duel, and Astral needs Yuma to help him regain his memories! Yuya Sakaki’s dream is to follow in his father’s footsteps and become the greatest “Duel-tainer” in history – and he just might pull it off when he suddenly discovers Pendulum Summoning, a never-before-seen technique that lets him Summon many monsters at once! But when countless rivals emerge to steal his spotlight, Yuya needs to gear up his game because Dueling has evolved into a non-stop world of action! Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG Duelists enjoy fun and competition, and most participate in a mix of all that Organized Play has to offer. These Best Practices are designed to adapt Dueling for a Remote environment. By following the instructions in this document, both you and your opponent can enjoy fair and friendly competition with a standardized set of rules. This document covers additional rules and policies, and includes additional cards that are forbidden from use due to the cards being unable to successfully resolve. Does your child take hobbies more seriously, seeking to get better and better through stronger competition? Then you should look for events with a more skilled player base, like Regional Qualifiers, Official Tournament Store (OTS) Championships, and Yu-Gi-Oh! Championship Series (YCS) events.

Using Discord, Duelists are able to connect and play in more tournaments than ever before while still engaging with each other and being able to show their skills in a friendly environment. It’s also a great way to Duel against players from the other side of the country from the comfort of your own home! Duel your way from your local OTS tournaments, through the Remote Duel Extravaganzas, and on to a Remote Duel YCS! There are thousands of kids around North America that your child can face in a Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG Duel. In the search for opponents, many kids forge long-lasting friendships with peers who have common interests. The main tournaments of each World Championship Qualifier are invite-only, but the WCQ weekend welcomes all Yu-Gi-Oh! fans to spectate, meet up with other Duelists, and compete in Public Event tournaments. With celebrity attendees and frequent appearances from voice actors from the Yu-Gi-Oh! animated series, you never know who you might get to see! The World Championship Qualifiers are more than competitive tournaments: they’re a celebration of everything the Yu-Gi-Oh! brand has to offer, like a giant party for Duel-fans.Meanwhile, Yugi’s grandfather gives him an old Egyptian puzzle that no one can solve, but when Yugi finally pieces the puzzle together, his life is forever changed. The puzzle instills Yugi with an ancient spirit, and the two work together to form a stronger, more confident Duelist. If you do decide to watch your child play, remember that you cannot interfere in any of your child’s Matches. If you are concerned about something going on during the game, you can always alert a judge, who can investigate. Before the tournament begins, make sure your child knows that they should always call over a judge, if they are concerned about something or have a question about the game. You can certainly talk to your child about their Duels when the Match is over but offering advice or suggestions during the Match is not allowed. Ghost Rarecards have a rainbow-colored foil on the card name and a unique three-dimensional hologram that makes up the card art. The main YCS tournament begins on Saturday and concludes with a Top Cut and elimination rounds on Sunday. The Main Event awards prizes like high-end game systems, exclusive Game Mats, and more. Top finishers even earn Championship Prize Cards – unique promo cards that can only be won in prestigious tournament competition. Duelists no longer stand by and let their monsters battle for them on the playing field – they now ride their monsters as they race through real locations to take down their opponents with their Action Cards! From exotic castles to dense jungles, Yuya and his friends better prepare for any possibility because there’s no telling where the next battle will be!
