About this deal

All you have to do for this boho crochet coaster project is cut a 4-inch piece of yarn and fold it in half. Insert your hook and yarn into the stitch. Pull through the stitch, remove your hook, and pull the loose ends through the loop. Learn how to make easy boho-inspired crochet coasters with this free crochet pattern and step-by-step photo tutorial. Round 2: 1 dc in the first stitch of the previous round, place stitch marker. Make 1 more dc in the same stitch. Continue with making 2 dc in every stitch till the end of round. (24 sts)

For this coaster pattern, I chose to work with We Crochet Dishieyarn in the color linen. It’s a worsted weight, number 4 cotton yarn.I love working with this cotton yarn because it’s really soft and it doesn’t split like some other cotton yarns. We Crochet Dishie yarn comes in a variety of different colors, my three favorite colors to use are linen, swan, and blush. Well in this case the internet was right haha and I did fall in love with them but since I have no idea how to macramé and I’d have to wait more than a week for macramé rope to arrive, I thought I’d try to make a crochet version 🙂 and I love how they turned out! Yarn To finish the spiral, in the final round, stop 2 sts before the SM. Sl st into the next 5 sts and fasten off. dc – double crochet:Yarn over, insert hook into stitch and pull through, yarn over and pull through first two loops on hook, yarn over and pull through last two loops on hook. You could probably use any combination of cotton yarn from sport to DK to aran to bulky but I’d just recommend that you hold at least 2 strands of yarn and adjust how many rounds your crochet to match the measurements of the coaster. This is the key to achieving the sturdy, macramé look or else the coaster will be a bit floppy and more like a doily. If you want to go on a crochet coaster making spree you can also get Dishie in a continuous 400g cone! The coasters begin by crocheting a 6 single crochets into 1 chain. Placing all of the single crochets in the same stitch will make them ‘fan out’ and form a circle shape. We’ll then crochet in rounds, to form a spiral and increase the stitches until we reach the desired diameter.

This simple boho crochet coaster pattern is beginner-friendly and uses only one stitch! Read through some of the inspiration behind this design or scroll down for the free pattern. One great thing about this crochet coaster pattern is that you don’t need a lot of yarn. You only need about 25 yards of yarn to make one crochet coaster. It’s the perfect scrap yarn project! This crochet coaster is made from a spiral, that is levelled off and then fringe is added around the edges. Add a little charm to your coffee table with this beginner-friendly free crochet pattern. Made in the round using only one stitch. Once all fringe had been added to the coaster, untwist the strands of yarn. Finally trim the yarn and cut evenly around the coaster.I always recommend cotton yarn for coasters because acrylic yarn can melt when heat is applied to it. So it’s always best to go with natural fiber for kitchen crochet projects.
