About this deal

A dehumidifier will not get rid of mould that's already inside your property. It can, however, prevent it from returning after treatment. One of our favourite compactdehumidifiers is the EcoAir DC12. While there are lighter options available, its slim design and large water tank make it an excellent home dehumidifier. This modern and effectice dehumidifier will help you enjoy the damp free interiors. 3 modes dehumidifier is your ideal housekeeping help. It provides moisture removal up to 12 litres per day at 30°C, 80% RH. Compact Design - Compact portable dehumidifier with max 12 Litres/day extraction rate. 2 litre water tank capacity with continuous drainage option, concealed easy glide castor wheels and washable air filter.

A few days later, Óisín and two fellow electricians arrived and commissioned the entire system in under 6 hours. Once again, we could not speak highly enough of their professionalism, advice and help, even installing monitoring apps on our phones, and explaining everything in detail to us. Other features include "gliding" castor wheels, timer mode (two or four hours), continuous drainage option and automatic defrost. The DC12 also has an LED display, two fan speeds and a laundry mode for drying clothes faster. The two main types are refrigerant (sometimes known as compressor)and desiccant. Refrigerant dehumidifiers are the most common in the UK and are most effective at higher humidities and temperatures. This makes them suitable for the average British home (especially in your kitchen or bathroom), but less effective in garages or conservatories. Desiccant dehumidifiers are most effective at lower humidities and temperatures. They are great in garages or colder homes. There are also peltier dehumidifiers, although these are usually notrecommended above other options. litre water tank capacity with continuous drainage option, concealed easy glide castor wheels and washable air filter. Water Drainage - Water can either be drained continuously via a tube, or be drained into a 2 litre water tank. If the tank is full, the dehumidifier will automatically switch itself off.

Compact portable dehumidifier with max 12 Litres/day extraction rate. 2 litre water tank capacity with continuous drainage option, concealed easy glide castor wheels and washable air filter. The biggest downsides to this dehumidifier are that it's heavy and relatively noisy. These issues are a direct consequence of the dehumidifier's fast moisture extraction though. So, if you need to remove a lot of water from the air, the trade-off is worth it. Multi-layerCarbonFilter : Carbon,Nylon & Polyethylene Terephthalate (PET). Thesummit comes with a carbon filter as standard which is good foreliminating odours (cigarette, cooking).

Despite the small size and low extraction rate, the PB-02 dehumidifier is still effective at removing moisture from the air of small rooms. Other features include a lightweight 1.1kg design, automatic shut-off when the tank is full and a full-tank indicator. It also only requires 20W of power to run. As a desiccant model with an 8 litre per day capacity, the Zambezi is more effective incooler temperatures than refrigerant models. At 10 degrees Celsius, for example, it's able to extract up to 7.5 litre per day depending on humidity. This makes it suitable for garages, conservatories and other cooler areas. It's not all positive though. The DC202 is one of the loudest EcoAir dehumidifiers, so you probably won't want to use it in bedrooms. It's also one of the more expensive EcoAir machines. It's also fantastic at removing water from the air. As it's a desiccant model, it excels at room temperature or below. For drying out a few rooms at the same time, the DD322 Classic is an excellent option.

You work at BID, what a legend.

There are three primary ranges of EcoAir dehumidifier. The DD range ofdesiccant dehumidifiers contains models such as the DD122 Classic MK5. The domestic range contains refrigerant modelsincluding the excellent DC12. EcoAir also produce a set of industrial dehumidifiers, although we won't focus on these in this article. One of the only downsides to the DD1 is that it's not the most energy efficient model on the market. The DD1 also has a relatively low capacity of 7 litres per day, so it's not suitable for large households. Even the quietest dehumidifier can't claim to be silent - at least if it uses electricity. Manufacturers often describe machines as having "silent" modes, but in reality this means they have a setting to reduce sound output. We like the control panel of the Summit S. The "On" button has three colours depending on the humidity, so you can see the current level at a glance. There's also a timer and active humidity display on the control panel.

Manufacturerslistcapacity in litres of water extracted per day. While this is a useful way to compare models, it's actually the maximum extraction at ideal temperatures and humidities. In practice, the machine is unlikely to reach these values the vast majority of the time.

Even so, if you have a large house or struggle with severe damp,a higher capacity dehumidifier is nearly always a better option. For smaller houses, caravans, mild damp problems or single rooms where space is importantyou can get away with less capacity.

Rapid control of humidity & indoor laundry drying. Controls mould, condensation and bacteriagrowth. Unlike major brands such as Delonghi, EcoAir are a relatively small company. They are basedin the UK with offices in London, so if you want to buy a British machine EcoAir (or Ebac) are good choices. With a 2 litre water tank, the Summit S is one of the smallest we've reviewed, so be prepared to empty it more often than other dehumidifiers. There is a continuous drainage option, but this often isn't viable for an in-home dehumidifier. The Inventor Fresh12L dehumidifier isn't built by one of the "big 3" manufacturers (EcoAir, Meaco and Ebac). Even so, it's proven to be a h ighly popular budget dehumidifie r that's great for removing water from room-temperature environments. While it's not the quietest model on the market, its noise output on lower settings is acceptable if you're in the same room. It's also not great at removing water from the air of cooler environments. We wouldn't recommend it for garages or conservatories.
