An easy to learn fun game that kind of invoked memories of playing D&D with good-quality components, easy to follow rules. I have seen others saying it is too expensive, possibly, but it is a good game. Brilliantly portable, nice minimalist design and lots of fun. Basic game is highly replayable as different every time; additional Dragon Scroll adventures add further complexity and variety. Have enjoyed playing game with adults and my children, who enjoyed it too.

Even though Bag Of Dungeon has a long shelf-life due to is variety of characters, gameplay and scenarios; it’s nice to have options to do even more customisation. The witch’s claw is sleight-of-hand magic that allows you to steal an item (including the Ring) from an adventurer anywhere in the dungeon. Use it when your need is greater than theirs, or you just don’t like them.

Bought it to expand my sons (10 yrs) view on Boardgames. We enjoyed many games, more easy and more complicated ones. This one is really fun and starting to shape a feeling for d’n’d-like games. My childhood reexperienced with my son. Great! Will buy the expansion and the second one two! Set up and start playing in 3 minutes. Lightning-fast combat – simple but rewarding. A broad appeal across different ages and experiences. Play male or female characters – elf, dwarf, human or healer Plenty of games have players returning to the table specifically because they don’t promise an easy ride. An obvious example, thematically at least, is DungeonQuest, which is celebrated in no small part for its casual brutality and the tension that arises from the game’s cruel indifference to your survival. Another is Shadowrun: Crossfire which, despite some criticism of its difficulty to win, makes it into respected reviewer Rahdo’s top ten games of the past five years. And few games have their players leaping for joy at winning against the odds like The Mind. Let’s face it, we love a challenge, and we shun easy. But what we really love is not knowing how things will pan out. Critically, we wanted each play to be unpredictable; a trip into the unknown. What we never wanted to do was control or subdue its unpredictability, because this is essential, possibly defining, element of adventure. That’s the lure of a dungeon crawler, surely? That’s what gets your heart beating a little faster as you ready your sword, right? Loses its fun after you realize it is impossible to win if you can’t defeat the first monster and super simple if you do. Re-playable in competitive mode, but the cut-throat tactics may be fun for some, but not for me. Still, I like the concept and it’s a great beer and pretzel game.
