About this deal

I’m still having some texture problems, mostly having to do with known .fbx problems. For example, the layered textures (“NCC-1701 D” etc.) aren’t masking right; it’s just because .fbx doesn’t properly translate the alpha channel infro from the .c4d file. Also, the depth of the bump-maps is way off (at least, it doesn’t look the way it does in your excellent renders here); that’s something I should be able to fix myself without too much trouble. (The lights are too bright, too; same remarks. Judging by your renders its a translation issue). The Playmates toy of the alternate future Enterprise was described as a ship capable of transwarp velocities. [3] Destruction at Veridian III [ ] The pilot episode script called for a saucer separation sequence, so this had to be taken into account from the beginning. The ILM shop came up with a machined aluminium armature strong enough to support the weight of the complete ship, but also allow the saucer to be detached when required. It had enough built in mount points to enable the entire ship or it’s separate components to be filmed from any angle that may be required. Once the clear cast body parts were attached to the armature and the joins cleaned up, attention then turned to the paint scheme. The Enterprise-D was seen in several officially-licensed games, including Star Trek: The Next Generation - A Final Unity, Star Trek: The Next Generation - Echoes from the Past, and Star Trek Generations. It also made a brief appearance at the end of the Star Trek: Armada strategy game, and in a Star Trek: Legacy mission with the USS Defiant. I did draw all textures by hand and used Tobias Richter’s model and the Generations model as references.

The Enterprise-D served as the setting for a late-24th century version of the Kobayashi Maru scenario among the USS Protostar's training programs. In 2383, Dal R'El attempted the scenario numerous times before learning its lesson. ( PRO: " Kobayashi")

Eaglemoss had been the sole distributor of the line outside of Japan, where it (as of 2024) is still carried by De Agostini.

It’s final on screen outing was for the movie, Star Trek: Generations. Although the smaller 4 ft model was more detailed, it was just too small to be filmed for the big screen. The 6ft model was pulled out of mothballs and was given a complete strip down and makeover. There was plenty of damage that needed repairing and it was completely re-wired. Most notably, the ILM modellers finally had the chance to redo the Surface detail. She was given a new paint scheme, which was much more blue dominant and the panelling was enhanced by using varying gloss and matt panels, so when light was shot across the surface, the hull plating really jumped out. Commander Riker was upset over the loss of the Enterprise. Having hoped he would one day command the ship, he was disappointed that he never got that opportunity. However, Picard expressed doubt that the Enterprise-D would be the last vessel to carry the name. ( Star Trek Generations) The illuminated display base carries the model at a height of 14 inches. In what was essentially a throwaway line from " True Q", Data began to say that the Enterprise was "presently generating 12.75 billion gigawatts per– " but was interrupted before completing his sentence; as an incomplete reference, it is unclear if this was the actual amount of power being being generated at the moment or if Data was intending to state the rate power was being generated relative to increments of some other unit of measure. I always convert all C4D specific stuff before I export the models. And when exporting into FBX I exclude animations, lights and cams. Here's the Voyager starship modeled in 1000 scale. This model is 13.5" long assembled and features positionable nacelles and landing gear.

The Enterprise had five day care centers and at least seven classrooms. ( LD: " Kayshon, His Eyes Open", TNG: " Rascals") The Enterprise temporarily became sentient in 2370 when an emergent lifeform used the ship's systems to reproduce. ( TNG: " Emergence") Although Starfleet crewmembers staffed the vital positions on board the Enterprise, civilian crewmembers were allowed to hold important jobs in the ship's science and medical departments, as well as support areas like Ten Forward and the ship's school or the arboretum. ( TNG: " Night Terrors", " Hero Worship", " Ethics") The Enterprise included children among the civilians on board, a concept which was not initially embraced by Captain Picard. ( TNG: " Encounter at Farpoint", " The Bonding") Many of the models offered here have not been produced for many years. These kits are becoming extremely hard to find and obtain. They were simply lounges,” he told Trekplace in 2005, “and they were different sized, ranging from a two-person lounge to a fourteen-person lounge, where you could have family gatherings or parties and they would all be very darkly lit, so you wouldn’t get gross window reflections, allowing you to see outside a lot easier.” Concept art by Andrew Probert Doctor’s office remodeled as lounge in “Encounter at Farpoint” We make every attempt to provide you with the best quality box we can but we can not guarantee the model's box will be in top condition. This is great, thank you for putting this together. Really fleshes things out even more, makes it more real, and still so long after how much we love it! Jennifer (Feb 5, 2021) In a scene description from the final draft script of ENT: " These Are the Voyages...", the Enterprise-D was referred to as a "great ship". On Frontier Day, La Forge revealed the Enterprise to the rest of its old command crew when they needed a ship not linked to the Starfleet mainframe, which had been used by the Borg to take over the Federation fleet. The ship was functional, barring some lingering issues. With the ship's computer identifying him as Captain Picard due to the long-outdated crew manifest, Picard jokingly accepted a field demotion to command the Enterprise again. ( PIC: " Võx")
