Around 46% the will-they-won’t-they had gone from fun suspense to “oh dear god who cares?” It’s interesting how something can be pushed just a touch too far and suddenly seem annoying and ridiculous. Two childhood friends. Two broken hearts. One impromptu road trip to get away from everything. That’s all this was supposed to be. Afterall, I’ve been living in the friend zone for years now. This book is basically about a hero who makes it his life’s mission to push the heroine away because he believes he’s not good enough for her and that she has places to be without him. Heights to reach and dreams to fulfil without him. His whole life revolves around letting her go, yet he can’t help himself when she’s around. The push and pull is exhausting but thrilling. All I did was over police a woman I was attracted to because I wanted to control her actions at all times. I basically fell in love with her at first sight, which is kind of sketch since I’m 24 and she’s only 16, but I never tried to act on it until everything was legal so nbd. I did promise her we would start a relationship and then fled our hometown instead of talking to her again. Even though she tried to convince me over and over again that she wanted me and wanted my love, I teased her and taunted her for years, but ultimately rejected her completely and repeatedly. I did teach her she was unloveable and really too much to handle through my repeated rejection, but then I got mad at her when she thinks she’s unlovable. Ultimately I decided to marry her best friend to “make her hurt the way I did” and “ruin any chance I had with her” but also now I’m punishing her for not trusting me.

For the past fifteen years, Eden has worked her ass off to overcome high school. She’s cornered the tourism market in Blue Moon offering visitors a place to stay in her hippie, dippy hometown. Business is booming, she’s close—but not too close—to family, and she’s got two dogs to keep her company. Life is perfect. Almost. he always knew she wanted to get out of the small town and wouldn’t ever settle but he didn’t want to leave There were a lot of things that made Remi different from the average girl. Synesthesia was one of them. And of course you have the whole scary villain character and story line Remi is all secretive about. When you don't understand why because there's no way she can handle it on her own. Her moms a cop even! At least tell her what's going on! You wanted to know why I married Audrey? You should be asking why we divorced. Because of you. Your name is the last word I breathe every night. Your face is the one I see when I close my eyes. I couldn’t hide that from her.”I read Things We Never Got Over My first Lucy Score book) and now have a new favorite author. You’re just what I’ve been looking for in an author all my reading life – I’m 79 and love, love, love your writing style. I would have enjoyed it more if you had dropped fewer f-bombs, but I can’t tell you how happy I am to have received the book on book bub. Online it appears there is a second book in this series. When will it be available? Reply The “forbidden” elements were never validated. Piling up obstacles that have no real weight is 😴. Seriously, why bother? this book is centered on miscommunication. but they communicated everything yet still didn’t trust each other’s words. so basically they communicated but didn’t know what was real what was not. Anyway, what do you think? Am I the asshole or is she? Because I think she’s just using me for sex and maybe, possibly, she might not want to settle down with me but also I’ve never asked her if she would. But she’s just so flighty! You know!?”

He’s intense need, love, admiration, irritation and every other explosive feeling he has for her is what kept me reading. The story went that little Remi Ford caused a fuss in kindergarten when she demanded a pink crayon to write her Es because everyone knew Es were pink. It took a few years, but her parents finally got an answer from a specialist. Their daughter’s brain created extra connections, tying colors to things like letters, words, people. Her response? Not to call him on his bullshit, that's for sure. She decides that it is her fault that he feels like she is using him for sex, and would never actually commit to a relationship with him (a relationship he has NEVER once asked her to be in, by the way). So after he screws her into the ground, and walks out of her house telling her that they are over, leaving her naked and on the floor.... she decides the best course of action is to get dressed, go to his house, cook him dinner, and tell him she's going to date him and convince him that he's worthy of her.So if you’re into friends/enemies to lovers with some suspense and humor then Forever Never is the book for you. hero and heroine are 8 years apart. they met for the first time when they were 16 and 24. the book is set 14 years later when they are 30 and 38. ugh and before anyone says anything no they didn’t anything until years, so shut up. hero was married to heroine’s bff years after the bff and heroine stop talking. hero then divorces the bff. YEARS later heroine and hero reunite. I tried to think of something—anything—to calm my raging hard-on. One wrong move and Leah Mae would rub up against it and that was liable to kill me dead on the spot.” — Jameson Bodine

She was lying. He was sure of it. Whatever had put those shadows under her eyes wasn’t guilt over a missed holiday. You don’t fall for your brother’s high school sweetheart, your boss’s daughter, or your ex-wife’s best friend. Especially when they’re all the same woman. Not into the romantic partner musical chairs. Yes, there are exceptions once in awhile, but here’s a big ol’ NOPE. Instead, he weighed the options between diced tomatoes with or without green peppers while shopkeeper Bill House complained to him. the last time i felt anything like this was exodus by kate stewart . that says something since that book is my lifeline. Pretend You’re Mine is narrated from the point of view of the two lead characters: Luke Garrison and Harper Wilde. It’s an addictive light read featuring a multitude of dialogues. The plot focuses on the romance of the protagonists, but when we are advanced in the story, you will get good surprises because several turns appear that will have you even more hooked. Regarding the characters, the protagonists are very well crafted, and in the end, we see a clear development. Additionally, the story would not be the same without the secondary characters that contribute many things to the novel and enable the readers to get a better understanding of the main characters.
