Philip will be judging alongside fellow esteemed food and drink judges including Mitch Tonks and Charlie Stein. Breaking news from the B Corp movement…there are now 1,000 UK B Corps and Hattiers is proud to be one of them! When we gained certification in 2020 there were under 500 UK B Corps, so to reach the 1,000 milestone (and counting) only two years on feels like a huge step in the right direction. 🎉 It was a rigorous and detailed process which showed us how we can do more to live up to the B Corp commitment. By shining a light on how we work, it confirmed what we already knew – we’re far from perfect! Nose: Apple strudel with a dusting of cinnamon and nutmeg. Becoming a B Corp is far from straightforward and Philip and the team had to undertake a rigorous and detailed B Impact Assessment (BIA), a comprehensive questionnaire that determines the company’s impact on their community, employees, the environment and beyond. To receive certification, we had to provide evidence of socially and environmentally responsible practices – including energy supplies, waste and water use, worker compensation, diversity and corporate transparency.
