About this deal

I have a pipsqueak which we dont want any more that had been used once before we got it and then I never installed it. I did put it in the for sale section though not sure it appeared. They are cute, and can be obtained quite cheaply, but I'd really say that it's worth getting something with more control. It seems its a lot easier to buy an ordinary stove due to the odd flue size and rear flue. Would of been costly to weld up the bends needed to bring the flue away from the cabin walls. If in any doubt at all, definitely speak with a professional about the precise requirements for your structure. Also consider local ordinances and regulations which sometimes limit, restrict, or require licenses for these types of things. Pipsqueak Wood Stove Specs This stove has a rear exit flue and the hot plate on the top can be used to boil a kettle or heat food.

SMALL STOVE REVIEW: Salamander – The Pipsqueak MK3 Stove

The weight certainly stops it being a stove to carry, but, I'll be using it for camping with the Scouts in the winter so the weight is not really an issue. I have a Hennessey for anytime that I want to be lightweight. https://castironstove biz/2018/01/11/franklin-288-cast-iron-vintage-wood-burning-stove-pb-mfg-nashville-tn-complete/It has a unique classic look and perhaps isn’t as suited to extremely modern fit-outs. It has a tiny glass window through which you can view the fire and a removable ash pan for easy cleanout. The Pipsqueak is approx 3KW and is ideal for camping, on the beach, in sheds or small spaces such as boats. The Pipsqueak stove is a tiny multi fuel stove perfect for use in smaller spaces! This stove is made from cast iron and has an integrated hearth. https://castironstove biz/2019/07/12/vintage-cawley-lemay-500-wood-stove-cast-iron-artwork-by-martha-cawleymade-pa/

Pipsqeak Stove - Boat Equipment - Canal World Pipsqeak Stove - Boat Equipment - Canal World

Incidentally , when looking thru old threads i found several good comments about Pipsqueak stoves & the Davey Hotpot too but yesterday i found an old thread from 2012 which i hadnt seen before . The general concensus was that the rear exit flue ( as MtB points out above ) was the problem & the thread became quite " heated " as the OP was determined to make it work in his boat tho the installation was to be far from normal . Had i have seen that thread earlier id have re considered putting up a question about the same stove . It was about 2 years ago. I mentioned it on here (can't find the thread now) and someone came and collected it. She no longer posts so I've forgotten the name but it was something to do with cats. I didn't want money for it, just some help with getting it out, she arrived at Alvecote, rounded up some volunteers (I knew nobody at the time) and got it off in a trice. Very nice (and efficient) lady. These folks sell the stove and flue accessories (but not the boat roof fittings, we bought ours from 'Bubble Stoves') When i looked thru old threads & general google-age i found several references to these pot belly stoves being generally bobbins . Poorly made & cheap . Especially those fron Machine Mart but that older ones are better . I’ve seen it fitted in vans (as above), small cabins, boats (including canal boats), RVs, mobile homes, school bus conversions, and as a wood stove for tiny houses. I’ve even seen someone using it as a heater for their home office that is separate from the main house!
