Now it's a LITTLE complicated because there's a guy named Steven which is the perfect match for Victory Jett is a guy that really loves the people he cares abut and he will do anything for the ones he loves and he is very protective, but he can be a tough nut too. I thought that he came over as abit if a jerk and I thought in my mind I was clear how ii felt about him, but he will change your mind once he opens up and lets you in.The lead in the novels is Aubrey who was saved by Jax Stonewood the day she lost her parents. The man who saved her happens to be her elder brother’s best friend. This author has written characters that you can really connect to and the chemistry that they have is sizzling hot and they are meant to be completely. I loved that we already knew the characters and what they are up to and this author did a fabulous job of carrying on the story. This story flows and once you get into it it hard to put down. I really enjoyed reading this authors books and I cant wait to read more from her in the future and I highly recommend this book its a real must read. I was trying to get to know you, I was falling for this vibrant being who lived on the edge, not knowing why. But when it comes to his friends or family ; he protects them fiercely. it was a cute office romance with witty banter and a strong heroine with secrets. victorys story was so sad yet she was always a positive and optimistic person, i loved that so much about her. I'm so happy for the chance of reading this beautiful, beautiful story. Shain Rose I'm in love with your writing. Although it touches a very painful subject, the love story is amazing, Jett is amazing, he's the kind of man every woman dreams about, strong, territorial, hot, successful, dominant and so caring with the woman he loves. He’s everywhere now, telling me where I should sit in his office, how I should dress, and even who I should date.I was team Jett all the way as he was always honest with her. And for her to allow her past cancer be dropped on his face in a board meeting is so foolish of her, what did she expect? I totally agree with what he says to her after. 2 things especially; I have never read a guy so jaded and butt-hurt like him. He said he's a realist, but man I was so frustrated with him (I don't mean that in a bad way though) His views on life and love were so jaded and he intents on staying like that. Victory Blakely needs a lesson in safety precautions. Not that she would follow it if our recent tumble in the sheets is any indication. But she is now flying to the small town he calls home on her stilettos from the city just for him.
