At full charge, Techie Boom will play at full volume for around 8-10 hours. We recommend that to get the best product longevity you should charge your speaker moderately frequently, rather than letting the battery die with every use.In spite of its focus on portability, the Roam is very much part of the Sonos ecosystem, which means you can use it as part of a wider multi-room audio setup, or pair two speakers for stereo sound. Pairing the Sonos Roam with other Sonos speakers can be done by simply holding down the play/pause button. Even though this blasts out the tunes, they did a fantastic job of sealing all the important parts from external debris, which is another reason why this device is so versatile. Sand, dust and grit pose no problem for Walla Sound, which makes it so easy to take anywhere.

Wow, I didn’t expect it to sound this good! I work in a store that sells expensive hi-fi equipment, and most people would never be able to tell the difference between this speaker and high-end ones. They’ve built an amazing speaker – especially as it’s portable!” Built with premium hardened polymers with fantastic sealing and with decent cushioning for the internal components, Walla Sound held up well in all conditions we tested it in – making it a great addition to any trip regardless of how tough it gets. Here’s what we found.. It’s longer and thinner than the comparatively squat Sonos Move, and is similar in size to a water bottle – or the newer Cleer Scene (which is very similar in shape to the splendid JBL Flip 6). It’s far lighter than the Move too, weighing in at 0.95lbs / 0.43kg, and you can easily hold it in your hand or sling it in a bag when on the move. One reason for buying a bluetooth speaker is for garden parties, perhaps sitting around a fire pit under the stars – which is exactly how I tested this excellent LG speaker, now a third cheaper than it was at launch and starting to look like a bargain given the clever tech inside. This French-made speaker offers gorgeous looks, with the volume lights hidden behind a thoroughly ‘hygge’ fabric cover and a stylish metal finish with actual buttons on the front - the tech inside might be twenty-first century, but the look is distinctly 80s. Which is fitting, since this French speaker company has been going since then.Considering just how much of a difference Walla Sound makes compared to other bluetooth speakers, the price is an absolute steal.
