Whiteboard paint is a special type of paint or coating that turns any smooth surface such as a wall, or a tabletop into a dry-erase, writable surface. You can write on it with any normal dry-erase markers and wipe the board clean with a microfibre cloth. How does whiteboard paint work?

You can use whiteboard paint on any flat surface, including wood, metal, walls, glass, latex and hardboard. We recommend applying the paint on a white surface for best results. Transform doors, desk, countertops, cabinets and more – the possibilities are endless. Do not use EXPO® pink whiteboard markers, red whiteboard crayons or Crayola® dry erase markers. It is advisable to test novelty markers in an inconspicuous area first. Some novelty markers (for example “fluoro” markers) require wet-wipe removal. Whiteboard paints come as a two-part formula. You mix the tins together, and a chemical reaction occurs. You then have a limited amount of time to apply the paint to your desired surface. Once the paint dries, it cures super-hard, creating a high-gloss writing surface that will allow write on / wipe off with marker pens. If you have drips on the carpet or skirting board, use water to clean those spots as soon as possible. For stubborn stains use Diggers Isopropyl Alcohol. If you get it on your hands wash immediately with soap and water. Without the confines of a standard whiteboard - whiteboard paint can be applied in any size or shape, to any flat smooth surface. Wipe with a clean dry cloth to remove any dust. Apply one coat of Dulux Professional® Total Prep®, according to product instructions.

Step 3 - apply two coats of white primer to cover the magnetic paint and make it white, allow this to dry overnight or at least twelve hours.
