Parents need to continue to pressure school boards to actually educate students and call them out when they get things wrong, just as they’re doing in Hudson, Ohio, right now. Many of the prompts in the book were benign, such as describing the worst Thanksgiving dish you’ve ever had, but according to Cleveland.com, one of the parents of a student that received the material read out several of the prompts that are clearly not meant for high school students. If you were given one extra hour today and you weren’t allowed to use it for anything you’d normally do (e.g.; eat, sleep, etc.), what would you do with that hour? The advice i give most and follow least is understanding the importance of time.When I am surrounded by my class mates , I start giving them a lecture on why should he /she utilize time but I think I hardly follow this myself .I do all sorts of planning and thinking but when it comes to execution I find myself lagging a way behind what I’ve set out to do. News 5 reached out to the Hudson School Board to get their response to the calls for resignation from the mayor and other parents. It is a college-level course and kids need to have a certain level of maturity to handle that. And I think parents also need to have a certain level of maturity to let their children handle that because once you get to college, you're not involved in their curriculum,” said Raeth. Nor has it fazed other parents of kids in the class who she said have spoken out in defense of the book’s use on social media. Even though Regan Raeth only graduated last year, she's already a second-semester junior at Kent State University. She was able to get those credits by taking the College Credit Plus and AP courses.And there is a huge push to fund “students instead of systems” and have your tax dollars follow your child rather than get dumped into the failing public school system. In its official capacity, the Board of Education will be ensuring that a thorough investigation and process review has taken place and will utilize the results of the investigation to determine any necessary actions to be taken.
