About this deal

Seiko 5 SNK805: Compared to Seiko, this is a more versatile option. It can be used as a field watch but also can easily be used in casual outfits as well. The arm movement triggering the watch mechanism is also an interesting feature of this Seiko watch as well. There are different stainless steel bracelet styles you can choose from and you can buy most of them online. Is my Mako II made in Japan? Question for anyone, what position must the stem be in, to be able to remove stem with detent button? I have read everywhere and everyone seems to skip over this small but import detail.

The dial of the Orient Mako II is highly legible and easy to read. The dial features large, lumed hour markers and hands that are highly visible in low-light conditions. The lume on the markers and hands is also of excellent quality and provides ample visibility in the dark. Just like the dial design, it seems like Orient don’t want to mess up with a proven formula. The case is not too big and can it most guy’s wrist comfortably. After all it’s designed for the small Asian wrist of the Japanese guys. I’m very sure most guys can pull it off without any issue. The Orient Kamasu II case is made of 316L stainless steel. The watch has a mixture of brushed and polished finishes that is nothing to write home about, as they’re not done any better than other watches in this price range. Overall, the F6922 is a reliable and accurate movement that provides good value for money. It is a key reason why the Mako II has gained a reputation for being one of the best affordable mechanical watches on the market. The Case: Stainless Steel 41.5 mmBut when you put them all together, there’s a special magic that can occur only when seeing the parts as a whole. That’s what the entire Orient Mako line achieves. Even though updating the 49343 movement with the F6922 removed the iconic day button, the Orient Mako magic is still there with the Mako II FAA02002D9. As stated above, the main differences between these 2 are the pusher for day change and also the movement. But make no mistake the movement improvement is a giant leap from the original Mako. Although Orient tends to be rather conservative with their design choices, I would have loved to see them take this opportunity to attempt a slightly more daring style with a heavier emphasis on the patina look, but I digress… The dial also underwent a huge makeover. There are no more numerals, which I think is a bummer because it was a great distinguishing feature. The hands are also a bit different (no more red-tipped seconds hand), andthe day-date display is now unframed. Both brands create high-quality options for different types of watch categories. However, there are areas in which one brand performs better than the other.

Orient Flight Green Watch: A good value-for-money field watch. Perfect for those looking for sturdy build quality and a more accurate option with a classic outdoors look. The Orient Bambino Open Heart has been a CROWD FAVORITE due to its clever open-heart design. The intricate movement of its F6T22 caliber is seen through the small round cut in the watch’s dial pad.The Kamasu gets an arrow hours hand while the Mako 3 has a sword hours hand. Another major difference between the two is the crystal: sapphire for Kamasu and mineral for Mako III. This is the main reason why the Kamasu is more expensive than the Mako. Is this a much better-looking watch than the Mako II? Yes, it is much nicer in person. Are the slight changes worth a 68% price increase? Personally, I'm not entirely convinced.

Great review. Does the 41.5 mm case measurement just include the glass portion or does it also include the blue ring with the minute markers surroudning it? Would this oversized for a 7 inch wrist? Reply This Orient Star watch has 24 jewels and runs on a 40S60 caliber. Orient isn’t afraid to move away from traditional styles as well.In terms of fit and finish, both are about the same, with no perceivable difference between the two. Similar can be said about the movement. They've both got the same mediocre beat rate, and these two units have comparable accuracy, though I will say the Seiko has a quieter rotor. There is 3 stem positions, should the stem be in position 1 (neutral), position 2 (date change), or position 3 (time change)?

The Mako USA II has a higher quality bracelet with improvements such as solid end links (compared to the Mako II's hollow end-links). This seal of approval serves as a guarantee that a watch is suitable for professional SCUBA and diving activities with depths reaching 200 meters or 660 feet. Ah, my beloved Orient Kamasu (full review). Featuring more unique rectangular hour markers and vibrant sunburst dials that set it apart from other dive watches on the market, the Orient Kamasu is as solid as one can get for an entry-level automatic diver. Authentic Orient Watch products are available in India exclusively through these authorised retailers:The Flight Green Dial FUNG2004F timepiece from Orient has an easy-to-read dial and luminous silver-tone hands. It’s very difficult to give a much higher quality sapphire crystal while maintaining the low price of the Mako 2. My only advice is to ensure you guys don’t overuse the Mako 2 unless you want the dial window full of scratches =P Orient suggests that deviations from the accuracy claims should not be regarded within one day but within a one week period of results.
