About this deal

Master Marksman: Whiskey is shown to have deadly skill with his revolvers, able to easily shoot multiple moving targets with perfect accuracy. If any provision of these Terms is held invalid, the remainder of the Terms shall continue in full force and effect. There are light traces of ethanol along with plenty of maple syrup, rich vanilla, plenty of spice, and a hint of roasted peanut. The nose is predominantly sweet but very pleasant overall. Palate The whiskey featured in the first Kingsman movie is The GlenDronach, a single malt Scotch whisky from the Highlands of Scotland. The particular expression that appears in the film was personally chosen by director Matthew Vaughn and is knwn as The GlenDronach Kingsman Edition. It is a 21-year-old whisky, matured exclusively in Oloroso sherry casks for a rich, sweet and spicy flavor profile. This whisky has aromas of dried fruits, leather and tobacco leaf with flavors of sherry and dark chocolate, balanced by notes of roasted nutmeg and allspice. With its smooth finish, this whisky makes an excellent accompaniment to any occasion. The Location of Statesman Whiskey Production Whiskybase B.V. is the Dutch private limited liability company, having its statutory seat in Rotterdam, The Netherlands and its office at Zwaanshals 530, 3035 KS Rotterdam, The Netherlands. Nose: A very nice nose like sweet cinnamon bread, baked tart apples and a touch of brown sugar. There’s buttery notes, raisins soaked in brandy and a little bit of banana laffy taffy. He has a Bachelor Degree in Chemistry and a Master Degree in Brewing Science. He is also BJCP Certified Beer Judge. Master Hand to Hand Combatant; He was skilled enough to fend off a mob of hostile bar goers and not get a scratch on him. He was also capable of holding his own against two Kingsmen at once for a short while before he was overpowered and killed. This was made more notable by the fact he was still recovering from his headshot and amnesia due to the alpha gel. The finish is medium-long with intensifying rye spice and a surprising alcohol burn at only 95 proof. I found more sweet vanilla, caramel, cinnamon, and a heavy, lingering oak presence that rounds out the pour. In closing

You'd think the most impressive thing about the classic Old Forester brand's most recent release, Old Forester Statesman, was that it won the Master Award (the highest accolade) at the Spirits Business American Whiskey Masters 2017. You'd be wrong. First things first: Statesman was a publicity stunt. Old Forester put this whiskey out basically to be a prop in the second Kingsman movie, and the distillery released a few bottles to the public. It was intended as a limited edition, but lo and behold, people seemed to like it, and Statesman is still widely available on the market today, two years later. Palate: Musty leather breaks with notes of orange citrus. Sweet cinnamon, smooth caramel and pinching baking spices round a really lovely palate. Nose: Alcohol! Light caramel notes, and some vanilla. Somewhat fruity, with bananas the dominant fruit. Wet planks, flowers and maybe a hint of white pepper. Quite weak nose overall.

Taste: Thin and watery mouthfeel. Raw alcohol. It burns. There's also a lot of (artificial) sweetness here. A bit perfumy and green. During the late 19th century, an overwhelming number of distilleries throughout the United States were still not aging their whiskey. As a result, some retailers would add juices and syrups to sweeten the whiskey, while others would add acid and tobacco to give their whiskey its signature amber hue.
