About this deal

The novel by Anaïs Nin on which the film is based is not autobiographical, nor does it have a frame narrative. The film imposes a frame-narrative about a "Nin-like" American who begins an affair with another expatriate American in pre– World War II Paris, and who writes erotic stories that represent her fantasies. Some of these stories/fantasies, based on those of Nin, are explored on-screen. Delta Of Venus: Erotica by Anaïs Nin - Google Books

In Delta of Venus Anaïs Nin conjures up a glittering cascade of sexual encounters. Creating her own 'language of the senses', she explores an area that was previously the domain of male writers and brings to it her own unique perceptions. Her vibrant and impassioned prose evokes the essence of female sexuality in a world where only love has meaning. This edition includes a preface adapted from Anaïs Nin's diary that establishes a context for the work's gestation, and a postscript to her diary entries in which she explains her desire to use 'women's language, seeing sexual experience from a woman's point of view'. Anais Nin pens a lush, magical world where the characters of her imagination possess the most universal of desires and exceptional of talents.

The crown jewel of DoV - hundreds of rare XXX film reels from the dawn of cinema in the 1920s thru the late 1970s! The book, unlike the later Little Birds, contains no poetry as such. Its introductory preface contains entries from her Diary, which expressed her hope that its unexpurgated version would one day be published. She also appeared in many men's magazines & shorter (yet still high-quality) XXX loops, which provide most of the Brigitte-oriented content you'll find here. Lovely woman with an incredible body (oh those breasts!) and by French accounts a decent actress, she went on to success in mainstream films, television, and radio (a show on which she still hosts). Despite being told to leave poetic language aside and concentrate on graphic, sexually explicit scenarios, Nin was able to give these stories a literary flourish and a layer of images and ideas beyond the pornographic. In her Diary (Oct. 1941), she jokingly referred to herself as "the madam of this snobbish literary house of prostitution, from which vulgarity was excluded". Among these provocative stories, a Hungarian adventurer seduces wealthy women then vanishes with their money; a veiled woman selects strangers from a chic restaurant for private trysts; and a Parisian hatmaker named Mathilde leaves her husband for the opium dens of Peru. This is an extraordinarily rich and exotic collection from a master of erotic writing. French-born novelist, passionate eroticist and short story writer, who gained international fame with her journals. Spanning the years from 1931 to 1974, they give an account of one woman's voyage of self-discovery. "It's all right for a woman to be, above all, human. I am a woman first of all." (from The Diary of Anaïs Nin, vol. I, 1966) Bettie's most fruitful partnership came with bondage photographer Irving Klaw, who created custom photosets and film reels for clients based around the (now well-established) BDSM tropes: spanking, catfights, leather boots & fishnets, riding crops, etc. Interestingly though she was in-demand for that sort of material, Bettie never had any interest in bondage in her personal life – she considered it harmless, if a bit silly. I think that's part of her stuff's allure, aside from being ravishingly beautiful there was always an aura of carefree & fun coming through in her photos.

and cover virtually the full spectrum of sexuality: fine-art nudes, cheesecake, straight sex, BDSM, lesbianism, gay sex, nudism, and much more… While using the Kama Sutra and other writings such as those of Krafft-Ebing as models, Nin was very conscious that the languages of male and female sexuality were distinct. [6] Although at times she scorned her erotica, and feared for their impact on her literary reputation, [7] they have subsequently been seen by sex-positive feminists as pioneering work. [8] Short stories [ edit ] The collection of short stories that makes up this anthology was written during the 1940s for a private client known simply as "Collector". This "Collector" commissioned Nin, along with other now well-known writers (including Henry Miller and the poet George Barker), to produce erotic fiction for his private consumption. [3] His identity has since been revealed as Roy M. Johnson (1881–1960), a wealthy American businessman from Ardmore, Oklahoma, who had discovered the Healdton Oil Pool. [4] Sadly, Miss Pedon's personal demons - drugs & alcohol & who knows what else - were powerful & persistent and contributed to her death of liver disease at the young age of 28.
