Young Link appears in both Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask, two classic Zelda adventures widely considered some of the best games created. To celebrate the Legend of Zelda's 30th anniversary, Nintendo released different versions of Link from some of his most popular adventures. Young Link stands confident with his sword and Goron Mask but tapping him into the game nets you something even cooler: The Fierce Deity Mask, Fierce Deity Boots, Fierce Deity Armor, and Fierce Deity Sword.

There are still some unique items only available by tapping the Zelda series amiibo, though — namely, unique paraglider fabric. The base game on its own has the Soldier's Set, the Ancient Set, the Set of the Wild as well as the Amber Earrings and Diamond Circlet, all with a top defense of 28, and the Champion's Tunic which has a top defense of 32. The Divine Beast Helms ( Ruta, Rudania, Naboris and Medoh) are part of the Ancient Set, but unlike the Ancient Helm they do not provide protection against Guardians, so they reduce the set's effectiveness in that respect.

For example, scanning the Majora’s Mask Link amiibo grants you the chance to themed fabric for your paraglider, or the Fierce Deity set. Beyond that, amiibo often also have a theme running through their respective characters — such as most Link amiibo dropping a type of generic sword, or Zelda amiibo granting minerals, herbs and flowers. A cool costume, but a costume, nonetheless. It's not all aesthetic, though; the massive Fierce Deity Sword will help you defeat bad guys with its wide range. Four additional amiibo were announced during Nintendo's E3 presentation on June 13th, 2017. They were released for the first time on November 10th, 2017, and allow the player access to even more exclusive items. It's required for the player to have cleared at least one of the Divine Beasts to obtain the exclusive items in these amiibo.

Daruk is the Goron Champion who piloted the Divine Beast Vah Rudania. His amiibo will give you a selection of ore as well as a treasure chest. This chest will either give you a Stone Smasher with a bonus trait or the Vah Rudania Divine Helm. This helmet gives you the Flame Guard Level 1 ability. Nintendo's amiibo figurines aren't a necessary part of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, but they provide some fun extras and can make the game easier to play. All The Legend of Zelda amiibo work with the game, so you can still enjoy some random loot even if you don't have any of the best Zelda amiibo listed above.
