About this deal

I only previously noticed this in the IMR EDP Ace, I put the tone and decay of notes down to the acoustic chamber, it is not reverberation (a note repeating itself) it is the tail of the single note in fractions of seconds. If you play an instrument, you will be aware, that a single note extends well beyond what most care to listen for, it is obvious in a quite place, if you strike just one string, on a guitar and especially a grand piano with its huge acoustic chamber (the huge wooden extension in front of the piano, which opens to reveal the strings). This description showcases the capabilities of this type of driver, providing a precise image that allows the listener to clearly differentiate which instruments are being reproduced and effortlessly separate them from one another. IEMs with planar drivers handling the bass frequencies generally have rapid bass transients but do not move air or decay as much as traditional DD drivers, which is the case with the S12 Pro. I was under the impression that the S12 Pro will be quite bright and harsh, and was honestly worried about how my ears will interpret its sound seeing as I’m quite sensitive to mid treble, but it never sounded harsh(unless you go ham with the volume) during my experience. DUNU has also released some crowd favorites, such as the Titan S, DK-2001, Zen Pro, EST 112, VULKAN, KIMA, and SA6, in addition to having a vast accessory line-up. Technical Specifications

Letshuoer S12 Pro Review - Headfonia Reviews

In the box are the earpieces, a silver-plated monocrystalline copper cable, 2 sets of LETSHUOER’s standard eartips (S/M/L), a container with foams, a much too small carrying case, and the usual paperwork. It is well contrasted and dynamic, impactful and weighty but it can sound a little hollow and a touch dry.Meanwhile on instruments, it gives a more crisp and brighter tone on acoustic guitars and a metallic and vibrant sound on violins. Percussion like toms and snare drums have deep, penetrating and resonant sounds on them while pianos seem to have a more vivid and brighter tone. On brasses, trumpets have shrill and penetrating sound while trombones have eruptive and intense sound, and then on horns have a coarse to bright sound depending on note register. Woodwinds like flutes have a brilliant and shrill sound while saxophones have that lively and reedy timbre on them. As discussed in the introduction above, the original S12 pro are marginally different from the original S12 in these areas: The midrange is well resolving, it carries a detailed sound with enough good energy to even add an emotional flair to my music. There is a subtle warmth in the low-mids which carries over to men’s voices as well as instruments in this region. Vocals have a transparent and somewhat natural sound that can be nicely crisp and technically adept to not miss subtleties. Take the song “ Better Together” by Luke Combs. Luke always sounds forward in this song and every vocalized word is pushed by a breath of air which can be easily discerned and heard. I hear some depth to vocals and instruments with nice separation. Another plus is the energy and heft to men’s voices. Not too weighty or veiled and not too thin or dry. I should add that male voices do have a bit more weight and oomph than females in my opinion. Upper-Mids

Still, to get the absolute best of this planar driven earphone I do think it sounds the best, the most open, the most dynamic and at home, when using something with more power. Needless to say, that both of my daps (M6 Ultra & Dx240) equally made the most of the S12P. Both adding their own flavor to the sound. The Quad AK4493SEQ chips in the M6 Ultra and the ES9038 Pro chip within the DX240 both have fantastic synergism and show the adaptability of the S12 Pro. I suppose the same result would be had with both the original S12 as well as the Zeos tuned Z12. This set is sent in exchange for an honest review. There is no material or financial incentive for me to do this review and I guarantee no exchange has been done by both parties to influence or sway our opinions on this product.

Comfort & Isolation

While there are no protruding or awkward edges, the S12 Pro’s nozzles are pretty short. Thus, those with bigger ears may encounter the shell pressing on the concha, leading to slight discomfort, especially when it comes to longer listening sessions. YMMV. Internals
