The cast gets brutally honest about one another, as Kit Harington decries how “chatty” Sophie Turner and Maisie Williams were on set, while the rest of the cast is happy to point out how much Harington complained about how brutal his work was versus that of the other cast. The package is nowhere near as elaborate as the deluxe Blu-ray set, but it’s sturdy, handsome, and it doesn’t take up a lot of room on your shelf. The technical and artistic strength of these mixes easily places them among the best that the feature film world has to offer, a feat most television shows rarely achieve. Season 8 episodes are: 'Winterfell', 'A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms', 'The Long Night', 'The Last of the Starks', 'The Bells' and 'The Iron Throne'. His journey and battle against corruption is the heart of the first season and Bean carries Ned's arc to an emotionally stirring conclusion that will leave viewers breathless. Flowing wind, galloping horses, crackling fire, cawing ravens, and other ambient effects bring life to the various villages, castles, and forests with strong rear speaker use that never overpowers the storytelling. I dare not spoil the scene for any who might be unaware of its content, but suffice to say, it ranks among the most artfully staged, beautifully realized, emotionally devastating sequences in any show, period.
