About this deal

A heartwarming and cute bedtime story about a busy king whose goodnight kiss to his son flies right out the window. And it was a bedtime scene that began the tale, when the King blew a kiss that missed towards the end of the Prince's nose, which escaped into the night. The king sends his knight (same one in "Good Knight, Sleep Tight") out into the forest to retrieve the kiss, but not before running into some of the creatures that live there. Since this classic picturebook was published over 10 years ago, it has sold over 300,000 copies and become a favourite bedtime story for boys and girls everywhere. The Kiss That Missed by David Melling is great reading in EYFS or KS1 especially as part of a topic on knights, dragons and castles.

The prince can't go to bed without his goodnight kiss, so the King sends out his trusted and bumbling knight to retrieve the wayward kiss. Just as the kiss in the title misses it's mark (a young prince on his way to dream land), this picture book also misses it's mark in never living up to it's potential. Each performance involved three out of four tried and trusted young actors, including Amber Clark and Natasha Wallace, who skipped through their various roles, and Minack first-timers Charlie Coldfield, and Jordan Scrase from St Just, who recently appeared in the town's Ordinalia. A right royal romp of a tale for the Hallowe'en half term holidays was sealed with a kiss - on the tip of a dragon's nose - at the Minack.

Artwork: Pretty good, shows some complex scenes which I think are drawn well enough that toddlers can follow, e.

The kiss proceeds to save him from the wild animals by floating by and saying goodnight to each of them. This story is about a king who is rushing and blows the prince a goodnight kiss that misses and ends up in the forest. The characters of this story are fairly one-dimensional, but the story itself is what carries all the laughs and adventure that make it so entertaining. The high standard of detail continues through the entire book and some illustrations have a comic book effect. Punchy and exciting, with plenty of amusing touches that will have adults and children giggling along .We understand that not everyone can donate right now, but if you can afford to contribute, we promise it will be put to good use.
