With thanks to Boldwood books and NetGalley for providing me with a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. What I didn’t expect to discover was my sister’s secret journal that contained her most private thoughts and shocking dark secrets. It follows three siblings reunited at their vacation home to celebrate their father's eightieth birthday. A solid suspense mystery, although I was expecting more of a horror, which led to some disappointment.Plus, Ollie has brought along his never-mentioned-before finance who happens to be a major who-know-what.

Books – Review of The Summer House - Much Ado About Everything Books – Review of The Summer House - Much Ado About Everything

This is a fast read and the few serious topics are dealt with a light hand so the summery vibe wasn’t lost. This was still a good summer read as it does show the beach vacation well and will bring back memories of those family summer vacations.Cook and his team are met with constant roadblocks in their investigation and quickly realize that they are being railroaded with suspicious evidence. Before writing my review, I want to thank NetGalley, Keri Beevis, and Boldwood Books for gifting me the ARC of THE SUMMER HOUSE! I needed to know what was going to happen next otherwise I found myself thinking about it constantly. Then things take an ugly turn when the team members start being followed, attacked, and then told to leave. There were lots of laugh-out-loud hilarious moments but also some really heartfelt and touching ones as well.
