About this deal

On arrival I read the manual, charged the batteries, loaded the gas and nails that came with the tool.

This is the latest version (J8) of the popular NR90GC2 gun - now with Lithium-Ion batteries instead of NiCd. The box is decent too, with a fair bit of spare room and not a stupid blow moulded case like cheap tools/all older tools came with. We will exchange or refund within the first 30 days if a manufacturers fault is found with this product. Thanks for responding so quickly, I've removed the motor and connected directly to the battery and it runs. Featuring tool free depth adjustment, dry firing lock out, tool free jam clearance and a handy belt hook the Hitachi NT65GB has all the features you would expect from a top end nail gun and then some! The 103 third parties who use cookies on this service do so for their purposes of displaying and measuring personalized ads, generating audience insights, and developing and improving products. If you insist on a gas nailer (but TBH, I wouldn't) then I'd look at either the Senco GT90CH or the near identical Rawl WW90CH (which have interchangeable parts, in the main because they come from the same factory in Taiwan). loaded the right nails in, and fuel cell, pushed pin all the way up, and have been having problems firing nails already. This product carries a full 1 year manufacturers warranty covering both faulty materials and faulty workmanship, it does not cover general wear and tear or damage, batteries, blades, bulbs and other consumables. I had a GT90CH for 5 years as my main gun - more powerful than the equivalent (at the time) Paslode IM90 - and today I still have two Rawl WW90CH guns (one fairly new, the other a bit of a nail).

Takes a zero degree plastic collated strip nail with a nail length variation from 15mm through to 40mm. The Hitachi NT65 GB Angled Finishing Nail Gun adds to this ease of use, accepting a 32mm-65mm 16 gauge angled nail range, a magazine capacity of 100 nails and a fuel cell capacity of up to 1200 nails, plus a charge time of a mere 60 minutes, gives you far less down time and more time on the job. The tool does the job easily and the depth can be adjusted, which is great for different applications. I use Paslode nails and gas because this is much easier to get than Hitachi's own brand consumables. Clipped head or 'D' head professional power tools like this allow nails to be grouped in clusters for added strength. All merchandise must be diagnosed by an authorized service center such as Nail Gun Depot to be deemed defective. The Hitachi NR1890DBCL Cordless Framing Nailer with a brushless motor for a longer runtime, less maintenance and increased durability.

The quick load rear access magazine is convenient, as is the two action nail feed - simply drop nails in and pull the feeder back. Eventually I sent it back and it must have been faulty as the retailer sent it back to Hitachi for repair.Safety features like the dry firing lockout and soft, non-slip rubber grip add to its appeal while the fold-away hook can be looped over joints for convenience. For some reason the nail feeder isn't sitting at the end of the nail strip but travels all the way back up to the top and so the lever never lowers hence the gun is locked. A better alternative, at least to my mind for less intense use, are the cordless guns from DW and Hitachi.
